I'm Vivek, a backend engineer who loves turning hard problems into fast, reliable services. I'm happiest deep in distributed systems, databases, and the quiet plumbing that keeps products running. I care about craft, performance, and making software and the web feel a little more alive.

Outside of work, you'll find me tinkering on side projects, running and exercising, skiing, and playing tennis.

    • Designed and built a distributed FHIR data ingestion pipeline using Apache Spark (Scala) and OCI Data Flow, enabling high-throughput healthcare data processing.
    • Founding member of the AI Data Validator initiative; led full-stack implementation (UI, backend, OCI infrastructure) and GenAI integration.
    • Implemented parallelized execution using LangGraph for an AI agent framework, reducing execution time by 80%+ and resolving edge-case failures; introduced LangGraph internally and authored adoption documentation.
    • Primary deployment owner for the AVSCAN anti-virus service on OCI; managed Terraform infrastructure, refactored the codebase to align with updated architecture standards, and implemented OCEAN internal observability APIs for improved failure triage.

    • Automated CI/CD approval workflows for tier-1 services, reducing manual release overhead and improving deployment velocity.
